SPEAKER: MEGHANN LIGHTFOOT
September 20-22, 2024
Meghann Lightfoot was born and raised in Northeast, Ohio. Following high school graduation, she attended Ohio Valley University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with her Bachelor’s of Science in Secondary English Education. In August 2008, Meghann relished the opportunity to attend Focus on the Family’s Leadership Institute, during which time, she fell in love with Colorado. It was this love for the fresh mountain air and people she’d met that drove her to apply for her first teaching position back in Colorado Springs. The spring of 2009, Meghann was hired as the 9/10 English Teacher for James Irwin Charter Schools, where she taught for two years, and more importantly, met another young male teacher named Chris Lightfoot. Chris and Meghann married in October 2011 and began married life in Des Moines, Iowa, where Meghann taught 11/12 English for Des Moines Christian School. She left the teaching field to stay home full time with their firstborn in fall 2015, and she has steadily been fulfilling that call to homemaking and management since that time.
Meghann felt a call on her heart to teach long before becoming a trained professional. Coming from a home consisting of an exegetical-preacher father and a school-teacher mom, Meghann’s love for learning and teaching is most likely genetic. ;) Meghann has happily found herself back in the space of teaching you this weekend. Prior to this occasion, she has taught at various women’s events through the years, including multiple daily events and another women’s retreat in 2015 with Soteria Baptist Church in West Des Moines, Iowa. While many of these types of events have had to take a back seat to raising littles, Meghann is delighted that this opportunity has been presented again!
Chris, Meghann, and their three sweet and spicy kids–Elias (9), Bennett (6), and Audrie (3)--live in Columbus, Ohio, where Chris serves as the Executive Director for Center for Christian Virtue’s Church Ambassador Network and Meghann mostly serves as chef, schedule coordinator, bill payer, house cleaner, transportation service, etc to the Lightfoot home. She also offers freelance editing services to various organizations in her free moments and continues to practice her handlettering artwork as time permits via her own company Pearl House Design Co.
Meghann’s greatest passion in life is spreading the life-changing truth of Jesus’s message of grace and life for us. His own transforming power in her personal testimony has forever changed her, and she savors any and every opportunity to point others to the unending hope present in the Word of God.

How is lodging assigned?
Unless Private Lodging has been chosen, lodging is generally, assigned by church group. The church group is able to divide up however they would like, once they move into their lodging. If you are coming with a small group of individuals, we will see that listed within registration and assign your lodging accordingly.
Is lodging with other groups?
We will not assign two church groups attending together to the same sleeping quarters. You will share restrooms with other women attending the event.
Is seating assigned in the Dining Hall?
Yes, we will assign seating in the Dining Hall using the same method that we assign lodging. Please keep in mind, based on the size of your group, our table arrangement, and in an effort to accommodate our guest count, your group may be seated with those from another group attending.
Can I rent linens?
No, we are not able to offer that service for Rejuvenate.
