Rewind Campout Night
September 6-7, 2024
As with all Scioto Events, registration closes one week prior to the event start date.
Fathers and their children can enjoy a cool night under the stars in one of our hammocks!
This weekend is especially ideal for dads and children (ages 6-12).
A note from the Director:
Some of my fondest memories as a kid were sitting around the campfire with my dad. It was at those times I felt like I knew him the best. Likewise, Some of my fondest memories as a dad were sitting around a campfire with my boys. It was at those times I felt like they knew me best as well. Spending a night under the stars with your children may sound crazy, but it will be more magical than you could imagine. Sitting around the campfire, cooking meals over the open flame, singing songs, stargazing and telling God stories will do wonders for you and your kids. Plus hanging out with other dads and their kids and some of guys on our staff will be a great encouragement to you as you seek to be a God-honoring parent. And of course anytime you can get away at Scioto Hills will be life changing. Oh, did I mention the memories?

Friday Night
5:00 - 6:30 Check-In (Arrival & Free Time)
Hot dog dinner
Session, Bonfire and S'mores
Saturday
8:00 Breakfast around the fire
9:00 Session
10:30 Activities
12:00 Lunch
1:00 Clean up - Hayride to Parking Lot
1:30-3:00 Summit Climbing Wall
3:00-4:00 Depart at Leisure
Families may arrive to register between 5:00-6:30 on Friday afternoon to hike, fish, and enjoy the beautiful fall colors; the first scheduled activity will be dinner. A bonfire, s’mores, and storytelling will complete the evening’s activities. Saturday will include cooking two meals over an open fire, activities around camp, and climbing the Summit tower. Families can depart at their leisure by 3:00pm Saturday afternoon.
